Vacation in Tennessee :) Good Times

The 1st day of vacation this year was a blast.  The boys had so much fun on the boat and each of them took their turns learning how to drive the Jet Ski.  It's amazing how little you have to teach them.  To them the Jet Ski isn't as hard to ride as their dirt bike and it has softer wrecks.

Good times were had by all.
Peace

A little Spring is in the Air...

Picture 17 So a little "Spring" is in the air these days as the kids are out of school.  "Jack" the dog has a bit of life in his step as he tries to follow the boys around to their various adventures.  These boys of mine have been living it up since school has been out.  We've gone camping and they have slept a couple of nights out on the trampoline.
Steph has their homework all made into packets for the week and scripture memory verse for each week as well.
Times are good at the Nester home.  I've battled a bit of crab grass and came out victorious.  I can only hope some real grass grows back in its place.
Peace my friends.   Dean

Buy The New Hillsong United CD! [a_CROSS//the_Earth]

So yeah I gotta say that this CD is amazing.  I just picked it up today and there are so many great tunes on it.  "Oh You Bring" and "Desert Song" stand out as some good easy listening worship tunes and "Freedom is Here" and "More than Anything" make you want to throw some chairs around the room.  I love it.  You'll want to own this CD!

This Sunday's Set-List

Let's hear some thoughts on these songs my friends.

This Week's Sermon: "Now & Not Yet, thoughts on the 'kingdom of heaven'"

So yeah.

Here's a copy of this weeks sermon or "talk".  I pray that you find it as challenging as I have.  To sum all of this up in a few words...  This whole talk is one giant perpetual prayer.  It's the kind of prayer that never gets old.  "Your kingdom come, (your will be done), on earth as it is in Heaven."

I love it.  I pray that God has some words in it for you as well.
Feel free to offer some feedback of either the read of it all or the delivery this Sunday.

Some more great but busy days in Old Mexico

My wife joined me this week in Old Mexico and she is doing just fine.  We've been working like crazy.  In rare moments I wonder what I'm doing, 'cause it's lots of work.  But in many ways we are feeding, clothing, and making homes for Christ himself.  It's been a bit busier so sorry for less updates.

The Un-sung Heroes of Old Mexico

Picture 36

Picture 35

This post is primarily for my Dad and anyone else along the way who have nice spot in their hearts for the good ole trucks of the early 70's.   Here's a couple of beauties who have been living out their retirements in style.
Our Ford here is affectionately known as "Bill" and his big day will be coming up soon as he makes yet another trip to the Mexican Dump to rid our land of another load of trash.  "Bill" is a 1973 1-ton with new brakes, a fresh fill of coolant. and needs a new battery.
Our Chevy is a 1970 1-ton that is clearly set-up for handling the large loads of lumber and steel.  She runs great and celebrates her moments in the shade with a load of kids resting on her flat bed.
Together they make a smile from deep within.

Another beautiful day down here!  The American Volunteers are working hard.  What once was a concrete slab is now beginning to look like a new home.  Outreach events are the coolest this year ever!  My friend Judy has a new school that is cookin' with mo-gas.  She has around 200 kids this year in a Baptist church in town here known as "La Iglesia Verde"  Mostly because its a big Green Church.  lots of fun.
